About ME
My name is Gilbert Hernandez. I am an experienced Massage Provider in Baldwin Park, California. I specialize in sports massage therapy with an emphasis on deep tissue release, cupping therapy, infrared light therapy, stretching, and IASTM scraping/Gua Sha. Let me help you on the road to being pain free!
Please come dressed in loose clothing, preferably shorts and a tank top as this will allow access to the skin. We will start the session by going over what aches/pains you are feeling. After assessing your pain and finding the root cause, I will then recommend what I believe to be the most beneficial for your recovery. It is recommended that you stay hydrated before and after your session, as this will help your muscles recover faster!
I do my very best to work with your pain tolerance while still giving you the relief that is needed. Because I have to get deep into the muscle fibers to reduce tension and inflammation, there will be some discomfort and soreness. Bruising is expected in some cases but is not usually common.
This all depends on the length of your session, how severe your pain is, and what areas of the body you would like me to work on. All therapies are offered as a FREE add on and I will recommend what I believe to the most beneficial for your recovery.
It is best described as a small pinching feeling that fades away and is followed by a warmness. Everyone has a different tolerance level for pain, because of this we cannot predict how cupping therapy will feel for each individual. We also cannot predict if the site will bruise or how dark the possible bruising will be. Dark bruising commonly lasts 4-7 days, while light bruising will typically last 1-3 days.
